THE VAKHTANGOV TECHNIQUE: AN INTRODUCTION Monday, July 14 – Thursday, July 17, 2014. Daily 6 – 9 pm Oleg Mirochnikov, Belka’s artistic director, will run a series of workshops for Belka Productions on the Vakhtangov Technique at Pushkin House, London, from the 14th – 17th July. This course, open to anyone, runs over 4 evenings (Monday – Thursday), and introduces the actor to The Vakhtangov Technique and its key principles through a series of individual and group exercises. The Vakhtangov Technique aims to enhance an actor’s versatility, enabling him/her to respond to any given artistic task with spontaneity, artistic courage and justification. Actors will be guided through an exciting mix of exercises, and encouraged to enter a creative environment where any act of expression is possible. During the course, actors will strengthen their internal and external flexibility, ensuring they are able to express themselves physically on stage.
