Pushkin House is proud to be hosting its second annual Music Festival this year, despite the uncertainty and the ever-changing circumstances caused by the pandemic. Our 2021 edition will be delivered digitally, with all concerts recorded in our 18th-century home, ‘premiered’ online then available to watch on demand. The sparkling programme will again give prominence to lesser-known Russian composers such as Alyabyev, Arensky, Genishta, Glinka, and there will be a particular focus on the music of Kapustin who died last year. The more renowned composers on the programme include Balakirev, Prokofiev, Rimsky-Korsakov and Tchaikovsky.
Artists taking part include the pianists Thomas Ang and Dinara Klinton, violinists Natalya Lomeiko and Yuri Zhislin and we are proudly collaborating with the Orpheus Sinfonia for the first time to bring you masterpieces of Russian chamber repertoire, rarely heard in live performance.
The full festival programme and booking details can be found on the Pushkin House website.
