The Museum of Russian Icon in Moscow is currently offering its visitors a brand new exposition which consists of over 100 unusual icons from the Nevyansk Icon Museum in Ekaterinburg.

The Nevyansk icon tradition was established by the Old Believers, whose forefathers were persecuted and forced to flee from all across of Russia in order to seek solace in Ural. This led to the formation of their own, unique culture.
