Sergei Makovetsky is a name known to almost any Russian. In October he returns to London with a new single-man play.
The actor has recently performed in London Barbican Centre together with Vakhtangov Theatre. “A non-accidental meeting”, however, is a play with a very different character and atmosphere.
The performance is an honest story of Makovetsky’s work in the cinema and theatre, recollections of his meetings with the world renown directors and actors and people whom he considers to be the biggest influence on his life and career. The programme also features elements of the favourite films where Makovetsky performs and his readings of well-known and beloved poems and theatre monologues.
