Today, as we celebrate the Day of Cosmonautics, we are inviting you to listen to two recent episodes about  “Cosmic Design” with Polina Lysakova, co-curator of “Cosmic Design” exhibition that has recently finished at the Museum of Cosmonautics. Space flights have impacted the design of every day things – home appliances, cars, fashion and graphic design – everything from space shuttle toys to magazines and post stamps. These two episodes talk about design during the ‘space’ era.

Please follow the links to listen to Part 1 and Part 2 (in Russian).

These radio shows are part of Moscow Design Museum and Radio Culture joint initiative “Talking Design”. The radio shows will offer an insight into contemporary design trends placing it in the context of XX century culture, history, theories and offering an overview of existing museums and design exhibitions.

Each episode explores a new topic with invited design historians, graphic, media and product designers, curators, and collectors interviewed by Alexandra Sankova, Founder and Direcor of Moscow Design Museum and Olga Druzhinina, Assistant Director Science and Education at Moscow Design Museum.
