To coincide with the exhibition Women at Work: Subverting the Feminine in Post-Soviet Russia, White Space Gallery and Cultural Dialogue are hosting a performance by Sonia Roshal.

Sonia Roshal (b. 1986, Moscow) is a Russian performance artist based in London. She studied choreography and contemporary dance in The Netherlands and completed her MA Body in Performance in the UK. Her works are dance-based performances exploring the relationships between body and spectator, the limitations of the human body, and the construction of images through gestures, movements, and objects. In her work serious themes are tackled with humor, vulnerability, and absurdity.
