Nikolas Pasternak Slater, doctor, translator of Russian classical literature, grandson of the artist Leonid Pasternak and nephew of Nobel Prize winner Boris Pasternak, invites everyone to the evening dedicated to the release of his new English translation of the novel “Doctor Zhivago”.

During the evening Nikolas Pasternak Slater will talk about the difficult life of the Pasternak family, their long “journey” from Soviet Russia to the UK, their painful separation from other family members, their ongoing correspondence, and how the printed manuscript of “Doctor Zhivago” novel reached Oxford, where the Pasternak family eventually settled down.
