Directors of the charitable foundations Chance For Life and  Life Line  invite you to meet the longest serving director of a major art museum in Russia, Irina Alexandrovna Antonova. She was the Director of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow for 52 years, from 1961 to 2013. Among her many awards and decorations are the State Prize of the Russian Federation and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres as well as Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.

Irina Antonova is the most celebrated connoisseur and the most interesting public speaker in the field of fine arts. She is a legend not only because of her experience but also because of her fresh and ultimate view on the traditional and modern trends in museums’ development. She has curated dozens of exhibitions during her professional life, challenging the forms and the customs of each enterprise. The circle of the celebrities and talents, with whom she came across with, is so huge that could not be fit even in the thickest edition. Each person revives a story, which is cherished in Irina Alexandrovna’s heart.

During our planned event Irina Alexandrovna will talk about ways of establishing modern art in the traditional museums and how art finds the new means to speak to the viewers and change their understanding of everyday life.
