On Russian Old New Year’s Eve Gift of Life launched charity raffle to help save children’s lives. Just £15 a ticket for your chance to win amazing prizes and help children beat cancer. The draw will be conducted on 29 January.
Due to the pandemic the friends and supporters of the Foundation were unable to attend the annual Gala and contribute to the charity auction to raise funds for children in Gift of Life’s care. But cancer has not paused for lockdown and help is now needed more than ever. For ten years the Gift of Life Foundation, a sister charity to Russia’s major foundation Podari Zhizn co-founded by actresses Chulpan Khamatova and Dina Korzun, provides children with oncological diseases with vital medications that are not yet available in Russia.
The annual Gift of Life Old Russian New Year’s Eve gala brings together many compassionate people, famous philanthropists and celebrities, ballet and movie stars, including Natalia Osipova, Erik Bulatov, Natalia Vodianova, Antoine Arnault, Vladimir Pozner, Sergei Polunin, Vadim and Igor Vernik, Ingeborga Dapkunaite, Leonard Blavatnik, Yevgeny Chichvarkin and Tatiana Fokina, Natasha and Igor Tsukanov, Stephen Fry and Ralph Fiennes. Famous British actor and director has been a long-term supporter of the charity taking part in its charitable events for many years. This year Mr Fiennes has accepted the invitation to become a Patron of Gift of Life joining Princess Catherine Galitzine, Katie Melua, Nika Belotserkovskaya and other Patrons.
Since 2011, the Foundation has managed to support nearly 550 applications for ‘life-saving’ medicine and nonmedical treatment and helped over 460 children and their families in Russian clinics. The Gift of Life team has not only raised over £7.7 mln in aid of children in Russia but brought together a number of permanent donors and supporters willing to give back and contribute to this great charity cause.
