Texture international film and theatre festival brings together in one programme Russian and international films and theatre productions about life today. The aim of the festival is to grasp the moment of ‘here and now’, looking into the ‘texture’ of contemporary reality. The programme consists of theatre productions, films, plays and scripts that represent the new reality. The festival focus is on contemporary dramaturgy that during recent years has become the driving force and live energy not only in theatre, but also in film art. We are interested in the theme of mutual combination of theatre and cinema, the synthesis of genres. Today’s life in art. The competition consists of four programmes: CINEMA, THEATRE, PLAYS, SCRIPTS. The festival also presents a special programme (master-classes, discussions, concerts, performances, lectures, book presentations etc.).
