About the book
The book is a timely and extensive exploration of work and art of Russian painter Ivan Vladimirov (1869 – 1947). Focusing on his practice during the Russian Revolution (1917 – 1925) it brings together more than 100 art pieces from two private collections and five museums and archives. It offers a exciting opportunity to investigate the rarely seen works most of which are based on the sketches made in Petrograd and its surroundings.
