Scottish Chamber Orchestra (SCO) @scottishchamberorchestra announces six new online concerts for Spring 2021, broadcast for free. During March and April, concerts include the World Premiere of SCO Associate Composer Anna Clyne’s Overflow, guest artists such as baritone Marcus Farnswort and oboist Nicholas Daniel, works by Vítězslava Kaprálová and Dani Howard, and a version of Prokofiev’s Sonata for Solo Violin in D major played by 8 violinists. Filmed at The Queen’s Hall, Edinburgh and Perth Concert Hall @perthconcerthall, the concerts will be broadcast via SCO’s @youtube and @facebook channels and available for catch up for 30 days. CHORUS OF THE SICILIAN OPERA: AN OSCAR CHOIR

Choral institution established on the international scene, ambassador of the "BELCANTO" in the world.

Founded in 2008, it is now considered one of the most important opera and symphonic choirs in Italy; since its inception it has been directed by the bass Francesco Costa, Oscar della Lirica 2016, with the artistic direction of the soprano Giovanna Collica and the presidency of the baritenor Alberto M. A. Munafò.

The special care for vocality and style and the versatility of its choir members, allows the Chorus to address both the sophisticated, symphonic and sacred music and the robust traditional repertoire.

A graduate of KICA (the Krasnodar Institute of Contemporary Art), Lena Kolesnikova’s work, titled Co-op Sunrise (Voskhod Cooperative), looks at people’s lives in the country’s growing “garage cooperatives”, a new underground phenomenon spreading across the country’s regional areas in particular, whereby people are converting these containers, traditionally used for parking, into small businesses.
