George Lapshynov studies History and Politics at the University of Glasgow. Before coming to Scotland for his higher education he gained a French Baccalaureate with International Option (OIB) from the Lycée à vocation Internationale Georges Duby in 2016. Coming from a multicultural background, he has a keen interest in culture and languages, of which he fluently speaks four. Though his full-time academic study focuses on topics such as conflict narratives, political philosophy and early modern history, music has an important place and played a formative role in his life. For a number of years, he sang in the professional Maîtrise des Bouches du Rhoneunder the musical direction of Samuel Coquard and performed on many great French scenes. He joined the choir in 2017 and is has been a committee member since.
