Founded in 1996 by Alexander Ivanovich Suscenko, members of the Russian émigré community and friends in the capital, the Russian Summer Ball is today one of the highlights of London’s social calendar, and guests include the pinnacle of Russian society. Her Highness Princess Olga of Russia, His Highness Prince Rostislav of Russia, His Excellency the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, the most important representatives from the country make their way to the heart of London to experience a faithful recreation of the traditional balls of the past.

The Russian Summer Ball is a magnificent expression of Russian tradition, one that holds true to those of centuries past. The 21st Annual Russian Summer ball in London will be held on Saturday the 11th June at Lancaster House, welcoming H.H. Princess Olga Andreevna of Russia as a Guest of Honour. This year we will celebrate H.M. The Queen’s 90th birthday, the 120th anniversary of the coronation of Emperor Nicholas II and the centenary of the Russian Flag Day movement in England.

The programme of the evening will include:

6:45 – 7.15 – Ivan the Terrible Vodka reception 7:15 – 9:30 – Three course dinner with wines Maria Sacha Khan ballet performance Gymnasts from London Sport Academy Live and Silent Auction 9:00 – 9:30 – After dinner reception Rusi Lebedi 9:30 – 11:00 – Dancing to Katya Lazarev Orchestra 11:00 – 1:30 – Dancing to Russian music performed by Bibs Ekkel and his Balalaika Orchestra 1:30 – Carriages

All profits from this year’s ball will go toward Rusfond UK (England and Wales registered charity No. 1151840). Incorporated in January 2013, the primary objective is to help children from Russia access life-saving medical care in the UK for treatment of life-threatening diseases. This year raised funds will go toward treatment of Landish Ibragimova, age 13, diagnosed with tuberous sclerosis at 6 years of age, and Veronika Panova, age 9, who has got a rare systemic vascular disease.
