Expect grand passions, tender moments, and melody after wondrous melody in a concert that features Tchaikovsky’s vivid 5th Symphony. We are delighted to have Tim Crawford as the soloist in a rare performance of the luscious violin concerto by the ‘Russian Mendelssohn’, Alexander Glazunov. A wonderful finale to our season.
Despite still studying for his undergraduate degree Tim is a sought after musician and instrumentalist. He regularly plays at festivals across the UK, and more recently has begun appearing throughout Europe. He is currently studying with Alexander Janiczek at the Guildhall School of Music in London.
Tim has been invited to the International Musicians Seminars Open Chamber Music Sessions in Cornwall since 2014, as well as numerous other festivals and is fortunate to have played with many eminent artists such as Janine Jansen, Steven Isserlis, András Keller and Philippe Graffin.
From September, Tim will begin a Chamber Fellowship at the Guildhall working closely with his piano trio, who recently won the Ivan Sutton Chamber Music Prize. He looks forward to a busy summer season performing at Lewes Chamber Music Festival, Festival & Rencontres de Musique de Chambre du Larzac and Prussia Cove Open Chamber Music.
Tim plays a Ferdinand Gagliano, c.1770.
